Leket UK has been a proud partner of Leket Israel since 2008, working towards their shared mission to rescue and distribute millions of hot meals and fresh produce to vulnerable communities throughout Israel. Their collaborative efforts combat hunger, poverty, and food waste in the country. Through fundraising and educational programmes and events, Leket UK promotes awareness about food waste.

Leket UK Board of Trustees

Jeremy is a Corporate Affairs specialist with almost 30 years’ experience in politics, media and the City of London. He was an advocate of “purpose” from before it became fashionable, has a strong commitment to the creation of social value and the growth mindset concept. Jeremy has been involved in Jewish community organisations for several decades, including as Chairman of Barnet Synagogue. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Gerry has served as the CEO of a Geneva-based family office for the past 18 years. Prior to that, he was a director of a London-based investment management company. He completed his BA and MA degrees at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Gerry was born in South Africa and lived in Israel for 11 years before moving to London 30 years ago. He enjoys combining his commercial and investment responsibilities with a number of philanthropic functions.

Paul Filer graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in economics before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. He works as finance director for a large multi-national company based in the UK. He is married to Wendy and they have two children. A founder trustee of Leket UK, Paul has enjoyed bringing the message of Leket Israel to the UK.
